Very illegal. Concerned you might be going away for a while?
Not only can you be arrested, you can also be sued.
I am surprised you know how to type.
Yes %26amp; and sued
you can be arrested for fileling a false police report, and also be sued for slander.....i believe?
Yes. On at LEAST two fronts. First, filing a false report. Second, stolen money is usually replaced with insurance money, and that's insurance fraud. There's probably a few other charges they can stick on there, too.
yes it is a crime. In GA it is a misdemeanor, punishable by not more than 12 months in confinement per count.

Also understand once the police believe you to be a liar, it will be hard to convience them as to what really happened next time you need them.
yes
Yes, at the very least it is considered ';Filing a False Police Report'; and what you're describing sounds like something a DA could turn into ';Fraud'; charges.

Filing false reports is taken very seriously by the police and fraud will often come with jail time.

Don't be stupid enough to try it.
yes it is very illegal and most police departments are very hard on people that do so because of the time and money that you had them waste by investigating the complaint. You are pretty much filing a false police report and that is bad news
it is against the law. Unless it was REAL bad it will probably be overlooked the first time just don't make it a habit
yes very much so you can be arrested for contempt of court.
