is it false arrest if the police lie on a statement and arrest you.. the police arrest me on trumped up charges but the cops didnt know we had it all on video at the store.. they lied on statements and the complaintants also lied in their statements and i have video evidence to prove none of what they say happened..how do i bring up charges on them or am i just going to get hassled forever if i doIs it false arrest if the police lie on police reports and arrest warrents?
You can file a civil action for false arrest, false imprisonment, and can ask that they be prosecuted for providing false Information to the court. (perjury). Police Departments have liability insurance for such claims - and if you have recorded proof - I am sure they will want to settle with you. First - make a copy of the tape and hide it away. Never know when a search warrant will take the tape away from you. Get an attorney - which will not be easy - attorneys do not like filing actions against the police.Is it false arrest if the police lie on police reports and arrest warrents?
Take your evidence to the country District Attorney. You can also sue the police in civil court if you can find an attorney willing to do it.
